Find a Remotix QBO Certified Accountant

To be listed, you must complete the Remotix QBO Certification programme. The programme is open to CPA-qualified accountants. All applicants must pass the Remotix QBO proficiency test; if you are already conversant with QBO, you sit the test directly without attending training. Training is delivered in a monthly cohort  a  two 2-hour sessions. There is no charge to attend or to be listed. Start with the specialisation tags on each profile card. If you run an NGO, filter for accountants who have marked NGO as a specialism  they will be more familiar with donor reporting, fund accounting, and restricted grant management in QBO. If you run an SME, look for accountants with SME experience and check whether their industry tags overlap with your sector. Review the languages spoken if that matters for your working style, and use the preferred contact method to reach out directly. There is no penalty for contacting more than one accountant before deciding.

Your working relationship with the accountant is entirely independent of their listing status. If an accountant is removed from the directory  whether because of inactivity, because they directed a client off Remotix,, a change in their practice, or any other reason your engagement with them is not affected. You do not need to find a replacement unless you choose to. The directory is a discovery tool, not a contract platform. If you do need a new accountant, return to this page and the listing will reflect whoever is currently active and certified.

No. This directory is free to browse and free to use. You pay nothing to Remotix to find or contact an accountant. The accountant's fees for bookkeeping or accounting services are agreed directly between you and them  Remotix is not a party to that arrangement and takes no commission from the engagement. The accountant is also listed at no charge to them.

No. A Remotix QBO Certified Accountant has completed Remotix's own certification programme, which is focused on practical QBO use in a Kenyan SME and NGO context. QuickBooks ProAdvisor is a separate designation managed by Intuit, the company that makes QuickBooks. An accountant may hold both designations, or only one. The Remotix certification is specific to the skills, workflows, and client types we work with —it is not issued by or affiliated with Intuit.

To keep this directory useful and current, listed accountants must maintain active client practice. An accountant who has had no client activity for six consecutive months is automatically removed from the directory. An accountant who directs a client off Remotix also loses their certification and is removed immediately. This is not a penalty  it is a self-cleaning mechanism that ensures every profile you see here belongs to someone who is actively working. A removed accountant can re qualify by attending the next scheduled cohort.
